Abacus Cambridge Partners CEO Abbas A. Khan had the honour of being invited to the 3rd episode of the Google Podcast Series: Banking Unfiltered, where he shared his valuable insights on banking technology.

The podcast was skillfully hosted by Mr Alan Paton, Director of Sales in EMEA for Google Cloud.

During the podcast, Mr Abbas shared insights into his personal journey, discussing his childhood in Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and how his interest in computing technology developed during his adolescent years. This passion led him to pursue a degree in Maths and Computing at Oxford University and subsequently build a successful career in digital technology and consulting. Starting with PWC, he went on to establish his own company in Pakistan, providing digital technology services to a growing market.

Mr Abbas also discussed Abacus's achievements in Saudi Arabia and UAE, highlighting how the ambition of these countries is propelling them forward in the technology sector, as they strive to become hubs for cutting-edge AI technology. Similarly, Abacus is actively targeting markets in Pakistan and African countries, where there is a growing emphasis on leveraging banking technology to achieve greater financial inclusion. This increasing demand for technology across different regions presents a significant opportunity for companies like Abacus, allowing them to offer their core services: Enterprise Technologies, Innovation Solutions, and Managed Services. The key to Abacus's future success lies in consistently exploring these emerging opportunities in developing nations.

When prompted by the host to offer advice to the younger generation, Mr. Khan graciously responded, “ Well I’d say to him, You know you’re working hard and that’s perfect but don’t take it too seriously and don’t worry so much. You're working hard. Things will happen, and results will come. Learn how to enjoy yourself a little as well”
